Fiancee Visa

 and Marriage Visa

Since 1991 our entire law practice has been primarily devoted to obtaining fiancee and marriage visas, also referred to as the "K1 visa" and "K3 visa". We also apply for adjustment of status in appropriate cases for family members to become US permanent resident "green card" holders. We have successfully obtained over 10,000 marriage and fiancee visas.

Our clients reside in all 50 states as well as overseas. For example, we assist a great number of US soldiers who are stationed abroad or are on deployment and want to have a marriage. We have obtained K fiancee and marriage visas from more than 130 countries in total and have a working knowledge of Consular practices, even in the more remote regions of the world. We are set up to work with you right where you are by phone, email, fax and mail.

The length of time it takes us to obtain a marriage or fiancee visa depends on the state in which you reside and the country in which your fiancee resides. A K-3 marriage visa also depends on the place of marriage. Unlike other US immigration attorneys who are not as knowledgeable and will make guesses, we provide you with a realistic estimate based upon a check of cases we are processing that are similar to your situation. Our cases normally move through immigration more quickly than the average case as reported by immigration services.

Many American citizens contact us after first attempting to contact government sources for processing times with mixed results. Often, the length of time it is taking us to obtain immigration approval is significantly shorter than what the various agencies report. This is due to our level of experience in handling "K visas" and the methods we've developed processing client information since 1991. There are a total of four immigration agencies: the USCIS, NVC, Homeland Security and the US Consulate abroad. Each agency involved in the migration has its own peculiarities. We provide exactly what is needed at the right time, no more or less. We anticipate next steps. We continually monitor and maintain our case load and respond to issues with experience and efficiency. If you will call us we will be glad to give you our time estimate for your K visa.

The statement, "We do the work, not you", means that all you and your fiancee or spouse have to do is provide us with information, documents and photos. We complete all of the immigration forms necessary for filing, assemble the petition package, and submit it to the USCIS (formerly the "INS"). We work with each agency on a daily basis and handle your case to the successful completion and issuance of the fiancee visa or marriage visa.

We also provide our clients with a free welcome package after arrival in the US. If our firm obtains your US K-1 visa, after you marry you should not need to hire an immigration attorney as long as we are still in the fiancee visa business. Similar free follow-on support is provided to those clients for whom we obtain a K-3 visa for the spouse. For those clients who prefer, we also take cases in-house and complete the adjustment of status through to “green card” issuance at a reduced rate since you are already our client. You will find that having us as your counsel on immigration matters — giving you competent advice and direction — will save you the time, energy and frustration of going it on your own or working with an “immigration agent” who will fail you.

A certain percentage of our clients hire our services after first paying another immigration attorney or a non-attorney "fiancee visa expert" to obtain their fiancee visa or marriage visa. When something goes wrong and the other immigration attorney or "expert" does not appear to be able or willing to correct the situation, the couple hires us. Often, others will toss out hooks such as "guarantee", "100% success" and the like. Others will have you believe that an experienced, licensed attorney can be hired to complete all your immigration needs for a few dollars. After hire you come to realize you are in a worse position than when you started and there is no money coming back to you.

We cannot overemphasize how important it is to have competent legal advice in a matter involving your loved one's fiancee visa or marriage visa. A good number of our clients are themselves lawyers or are referred to us by another immigration lawyer because they know that in order to provide superior service, this area of immigration law requires expertise in United States fiancee and spousal immigration laws. Here is an example of one prominent attorney:

The information provided about fiancee visas and marriage visas on this site is not available from most other sources. It is often contradictory to what you may obtain elsewhere, but it is correct. We are certain that after you have read it you will have many questions.

Experience has shown that when we answer your questions, you will immediately think of additional K1 fiancee visa or K3 marriage visa questions. We have found that it is much easier if we can discuss your plans and concerns over the telephone rather than via fax or e-mail. We also prefer the phone because it allows us to establish and build a personal relationship which develops into a mutual trust and confidence.

Each of our staff is experienced and knowledgeable in US spousal immigration laws since fiancee visas, marriage visas, and green cards for family members are all we handle. Each staff member is trained, and is prepared to assist and respond to you. In short, we believe you will feel much more comfortable and confident about this entire fiancee visa process if we can hear each other's voice rather than only read each other's writing. For this reason, when you call we will gladly spend as much time as necessary answering your "K1 fiancee visa" or "K3 marriage visa" questions.

I have found USCIS procedures to be the most cumbersome, and personnel attitudes to be the most hostile toward immigration efforts by private citizens ... having a legal problem, I think the best possible solution is to hire an expert ..."

"Allan, Yes, I am an Assistant U.S. Attorney here in [California]. I used to prosecute immigration cases years ago, but I am now in our appellate section. . . I began to fill out the paper work myself for the fiancé visa and began to realize that there were many possibilities for error – and I know what that can lead to. Your fees seem very reasonable..."

"... After nearly a year and a half of trying to get him a visa from Brazil [working on their own] we finally were able to accomplish that and greet him in person. Had we not engaged your firm, who knows when, or if, we would every have made it through the complicated process to get him here. By my count it has been a little over three months since you began helping us pursue a fiancée visa—and now he is here. I am happy to enthusiastically commend and recommend your firm to anyone needing help getting a fiancée visa .... "
